We've been informed that Smo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Wettin clips Smo with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Smo a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.#ROC#

Wettin steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Smo's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Smo just didn't come prepared.

Zod Wettin took some time post fight to say the following; 'Kneel before Zod!!!!!!'.

I was talking to Ritter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Ritter tries to work over Wettin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. #TD2#
Wettin has clasped his hands together around Ritter's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

We've been told by Wettin's head coaches at FIERCE that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
