King is real pain and he's forced to tap out! King is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bessmertin couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Cup shoots for a double leg takedown but Bessmertin sprawls well. He's pushed Cup's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bessmertin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cup's hands.

Bessmertin tries to get to his feet but Cup is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Bessmertin is in need of a savior and steps in!

Bessmertin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bessmertin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!#SUB#

Bessmertin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cartwright to see if he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cartwright is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bessmertin connects with a decent elbow.

We've been hearing good reports from Bessmertin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
