Murometz is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Thomson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Thomson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Murometz anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Thomson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Murometz slips an arm under Thomson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Murometz has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Murometz is squeezing on Thomson like an anaconda would it's prey. Thomson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ilya Murometz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
