Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dale Holloway (ranked 3491 p4p, 295 weight class) and Cung Wo Par (ranked 3391 p4p, 290 weight class). Cung Wo Par will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holloway on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Par moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nice cross by Par.
Par paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Par with a jab.

Par tries to sprawl but Holloway drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Holloway is looking for a kimura but Par is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Holloway to get the leverage.

Holloway seems to be working for a kimura but Par defends the submission attempt.
Holloway thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Par tries to kick Holloway off in order to stand up. Holloway Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Holloway thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ground and pound from Holloway seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Holloway has an Americana. Par didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Holloway is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Holloway hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
