PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfhard Klugman (ranked 6578 p4p, 532 weight class) and Chief Killer (ranked 3311 p4p, 370 weight class). Klugman comes into the arena with Rammstein - Deutschland blaring out of the sound system. Chief Killer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wolfhard Klugman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Killer!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Killer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Killer lands a nice short elbow.
Killer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Killer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Killer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Klugman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Killer missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Klugman regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Killer.
Klugman is looking to stand up but Killer isn't so interested in that idea.
Killer throws an elbow that misses. Klugman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Killer's guard. Nice move by Klugman!

We've been hearing that Klugman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Killer looking for a guillotine here but Klugman defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Klugman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Killer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Klugman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Klugman trying to control but Killer is working from the bottom.
Klugman is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Killer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Killer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Killer is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Klugman has his hands clasped together but Killer extends and breaks Klugman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Killer.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chief Killer!
During a confident post fight interview, Chief Killer thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
