Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karol Krawczyk (ranked 23962 p4p, 581 weight class) and Gilberto Silva (ranked 23870 p4p, 540 weight class). Krawczyk comes to the cage accompanied by Miodowe Lata. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gilberto Silva!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva scores with a jab to the body.
Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Krawczyk tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Krawczyk drops back down to his feet.
Silva is leaning against Krawczyk and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Krawczyk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Karol Krawczyk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Krawczyk dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Krawczyk throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva can't find room to land a body shot as Krawczyk controls the action.

Silva will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Krawczyk up against the cage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Gilberto Silva.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Krawczyk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Silva manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Krawczyk looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Krawczyk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krawczyk working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silva's head.

Krawczyk is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Krawczyk working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Krawczyk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Krawczyk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Krawczyk is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Krawczyk seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Krawczyk is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Krawczyk looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Krawczyk is trying for a kimura here. Silva looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Krawczyk wins by kimura!
