The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Superior uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saget.
Superior misses with a hook
and Saget counters with a series of strikes. Superior will be more careful next time no doubt.
A big left from Superior misses.
Superior takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Superfluous Superior has been cut.

Superior has managed to clinch.
Superior stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Saget manages to break the clinch.
Saget with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Superior avoids the head kick by Saget.
Superior takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saget looks to land a left hand but Superior moved out of range nicely.
Superior is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Saget.
Saget looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Superior ducks under a wild hook from Saget.
Saget throws a lazy right hand but Superior sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Saget looks to land a body kick but Superior moved away.

Saget throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Superior counters with a shoot takedown. Saget fights it but they end up in guard.
Saget keeping moving, preventing Superior from controlling successfully.
Superior looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Superior trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Superior slips nicely into half guard.

Superior is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Saget has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Superior is working away from the top position though.

Superior is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Saget has managed to free his arm - good work.
Superior is trying to control. Saget wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Superior is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saget is just riding it out for now. Superior eventually gives up the hold.
Superior is controlling the pace.
Superior is thwarting Saget's attempts to control the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Superior looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Superior is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saget is just riding it out for now. Superior eventually gives up the hold.
Superior controlling the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Superior clinches up with Saget and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bob Saget will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Superfluous Superior's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Superior swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bob Saget is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Saget scores with a leg kick.
Saget throws a lazy head kick

and Superior counters with a single leg into guard. Saget didn't expect that.
Saget keeping full guard, as Superior tries to pass.
Superior trying to control the position from guard on top but Saget is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Saget holds on and takes a little breather.

Superior slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Superior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saget swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bob Saget seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Saget does no damage.
Superior throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Superior's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Saget connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Superior scrambles back to his feet.

Saget throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Saget throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Superior.
Superior is looking to clinch but Saget is avoiding it.
Saget looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Superior throws the left hand but Saget avoids the punch easily.
As Superior backs off Saget throws a huge counter combo but Superior manages to avoid it all.
Superior blocks a jab.
Superior on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Superfluous Superior's cut is getting worse.
Superior wants to clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saget throws a head kick that misses.
Superior throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Saget is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Superior takes the fight into the clinch.

Saget's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Saget throws a nice looking combination but Superior bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Superior tries to counter by clinching up but Saget breaks away and moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Saget as Superior shoots in.
Superior pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Superior shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Superfluous Superior. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Superior has taken the fight to the clinch.
Superior stalls.
Saget has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Saget tries to circle away but Superior has him pinned against the cage.
Saget lands a nice uppercut.

Saget breaks from the clinch.
Superior is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Saget's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Saget paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Superior throws a body shot but no joy.
Superior takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Saget connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Superior's hands.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saget throws a front kick that sends Superior stumbling back into the cage.
Saget keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Superior.
Superior tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saget swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Superior fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saget only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Saget delivers a nice body kick.
Saget lands a right hook to the body.
Saget scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Superior doesn't seem bothered though.
Saget lands with a slapping head kick.
Saget misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Saget throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Saget showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Superfluous Superior's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Saget throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Saget has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Superior feints and as Saget raises his hands in defense, Superior changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Superfluous Superior overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Superior pushes down on Saget's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Superior stalling.
Superior wants to pass the guard but Saget is defending well.

Superior is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Saget looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Superior wants to control from the top but Saget keeps moving.

Saget throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Superior passes into half guard.
Superior passes to side control.
Saget tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Superior easily slips into full mount!
Bob Saget is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Superior goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Saget turns into him and now he's in Superior's guard.

Superior escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saget gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saget is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Superior wants to sweep here but Saget controlling him for the moment.
Superfluous Superior has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Saget is working Superior over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Saget stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Superior swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Superior looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Saget stopping the sweep attempt from Superior.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Superfluous Superior.
I think Saget has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
