Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paw Paw Udomprecha (ranked 1381 p4p, 73 weight class) and Morris Day (ranked 1266 p4p, 65 weight class). Morris Day is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paw Paw Udomprecha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morris Day!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Udomprecha lands the left hand.
Udomprecha throws a leg kick which misses Day's front leg but catches the back leg as Day tries to avoid it.

Udomprecha tries to sprawl but Day drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Day looks to land a strike but Udomprecha avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Day postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Udomprecha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Udomprecha stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Udomprecha wants it to stay on the feet.

Udomprecha has hold of Day's hands but Day slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Udomprecha is concentrating on defense, preventing Day from advancing position.
Udomprecha is trying to maintain the position but Day is very close to passing his half guard.
Day throwing shots but Udomprecha is blocking nicely.
Udomprecha has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Day is working away from the top position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Day's coach down at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Day's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Udomprecha bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Day drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Udomprecha defends it well.

It looked like Udomprecha wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Udomprecha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Day is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Udomprecha is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Day can do to turn this around?

Day takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Both fighters circling a little - Udomprecha finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Day changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Udomprecha tries to avoid it but Day manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Udomprecha to the ground. Udomprecha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Udomprecha takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Day on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
