Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maximum Deals (ranked 4542 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Destro (ranked 4580 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Destro has managed to clinch.
Deals wants to take the fight to the mat but Destro manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Destro scores with a nice short uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Deals pulls Destro into guard.
Destro wants to stand and escape but instead Deals has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Deals trying to control but Destro is working from the bottom.
Destro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deals. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deals advances position into side control!

Destro is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Deals has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Destro is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Deals wants to take Destro's back but he can't do it this time.
Destro is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Destro takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Deals has control of Destro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Destro regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Deals can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Destro is looking to escape.
Deals lands a couple of good shots and Destro has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Deals's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Deals throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Destro!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Destro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Deals has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Deals looking for a guillotine from mount but Destro is having none of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Deals postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Destro looks a forlorn figure.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Destro can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Destro lands with a nice combination. Deals backs away looking to recover.

and Destro counters with a left and a right that stings Deals.

Destro moves into range and clinches up with Deals.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Destro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Destro thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Deals if he has to take too many more of those.
Deals swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Deals tries to keep at a distance but Destro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Destro landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Destro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Destro feints and then cracks Deals's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Deals down.

Destro drives through and clinches with Deals against the cage.

Destro breaks the clinch.

Destro instigates a clinch.
Deals tries to pull guard but Destro won't allow it.
Deals misses with a punch on the inside.

Destro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Destro connects with a high kick.

Deals pushes Destro up against the cage in a clinch.

Destro manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Destro putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Deals in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Deals misses with a body punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Destro lands a damaging elbow.
Destro lands an elbow inside that Deals shrugs off.

Destro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Deals shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Destro defends it nicely.

Destro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Adam Destro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Deals has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
