The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonic looks for a takedown but Ambe sprawls well.
Ambe throws a looping overhand right but Yonic ducks down to avoid it.

Ambe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Yonic counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ambe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yonic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ambe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yonic has managed to get both his arms back between Ambe's legs - danger averted.
