The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gepardi throws a jab when Maurini was well out of range.
Maurini is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gepardi feints and as Maurini raises his hands in defense, Gepardi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gepardi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maurini is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gepardi, into his guard.

Maurini has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gepardi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Maurini is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gepardi pulls down on the head and he's put Maurini to sleep! This one is all over!
