Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Drew Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Mucha!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mucha lands with a nice body kick.
Allen looks for a takedown but Mucha sprawls well.

Allen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mucha, pushing him back against the cage.
Allen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mucha avoids it.
Mucha tries a body shot but Allen blocks it.
Mucha will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Allen up against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mucha.
Mucha wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allen jumps into guard, dragging Mucha to the mat.
Mucha must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Allen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Allen is looking for a triangle but Mucha pushes his legs off easily.
Mucha missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Allen is controlling Mucha's posture.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mucha misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Allen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mucha as he avoids it easily.

Mucha tries to keep at a distance but Allen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Allen prevents a body shot from Mucha.

Allen breaks the clinch.

Allen moves into the clinch.
Mucha misses with a hook to the ribs.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mucha.

Allen pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen controlling the position.
Allen continues to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mucha trying to control the position from guard on top but Allen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Allen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mucha manages to get himself to full guard.

Mucha trying to keep a closed guard but Allen is proving a slippery customer.

Mucha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Allen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mucha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Allen controlling from the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Allen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mucha moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mucha was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Mucha tried to score with a low kick but Allen checks it.
Allen swinging wildly here.
Allen dives in and grabs Mucha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mucha pushes down on Allen's head and hops out.
Allen throws a one two combo.


It looks like Peter Mucha has been cut.
Allen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Allen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It seemed like Mucha was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Mucha misses with a two punch combination.
Mucha lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mucha turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Mucha throws a sloppy head kick and Allen moves out of range easily.
Peter Mucha seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Allen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Mucha. Allen shrugs it off though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mucha.
Allen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mucha.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mucha. That's going to slow Allen down.

Allen clinches up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Allen - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Allen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mucha lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

A decent looking cross lands there for Mucha.
Mucha leaves Allen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mucha creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mucha is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Allen has denied him.

Peter Mucha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mucha has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
