The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charlemange throws a poor cross that misses
and Escalante counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Escalante scores with a one two! Charlemange had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Escalante connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Charlemange momentarily.
Escalante fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Charlemange fails to land the takedown.
Charlemange misses with a right hand
and Escalante counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Charlemange throws a predictable looking body shot
and Escalante counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Charlemange looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Escalante moves out of range as Charlemange strikes.
Escalante comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Escalante connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Charlemange is rocked!
Charlemange misses with a looping right.
Escalante rushes Charlemange with punches - Charlemange moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Charlemange goes down! Escalante follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
