Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Griggs (ranked 4703 p4p, 447 weight class) and Chris Machado (ranked 4594 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankie Griggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Machado!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As Machado tries to get set, Griggs tries to push him back and clinch up but Machado manages to avoid the attempt.
Griggs throws a nice looking combination but Machado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Machado throws a head kick that Griggs semi-blocks.
Machado rushes Griggs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Griggs can't break the clinch.
Machado tries to work over Griggs's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Machado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Machado closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griggs did well to prevent Machado getting side control.
Griggs tries to kick Machado off in order to stand up. Machado Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griggs is trying to buck Machado off.
Machado is looking to take a break and control but Griggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machado wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griggs keeps working.
Griggs wants to get back to his feet but Machado drags him back down.
Machado is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Griggs is looking to get back to his feet here but Machado is keeping cool and he's managed to take Griggs's back.
Griggs is trying to get back to his feet but Machado has full control of the position and if anything, Griggs has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Griggs trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Machado controls the action.
Griggs defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Griggs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machado on the ground.
Griggs wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Machado drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Griggs 's chin! Griggs is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
