Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Cedeno (ranked 4672 p4p, 360 weight class) and Kjell Erlandsson (ranked 4643 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cedeno avoids the head kick by Erlandsson.
Erlandsson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Erlandsson takes a kick to the side of the head.
Erlandsson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cedeno is fending him off so far but Erlandsson persists. Nope, Cedeno circles away and we're back to standing.
Cedeno appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Erlandsson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cedeno defends well and Erlandsson ends up having to push Cedeno into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Erlandsson shoots in for a takedown but Cedeno shows good takedown defense.
Cedeno went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nelson Cedeno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kjell Erlandsson.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Erlandsson is defended easily by Cedeno.
Kjell Erlandsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
