Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bina Raga (ranked 3499 p4p, 388 weight class) and Seth Slithers (ranked 2964 p4p, 336 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Bina Raga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seth Slithers!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raga works over Slithers's head and body with a nice combination.
Slithers has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Slithers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Raga misses with a double jab.
Bina Raga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raga throws a series of strikes that have Slithers backpedaling.
Slithers shoots in and drives through. Raga sprawls well.

Slithers dives in and scores a takedown into Raga's guard.
Slithers wants to control from the top but Raga keeps moving.
Slithers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raga swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Raga knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slithers on the ground.

Slithers is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Slithers won't allow Raga to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slithers passes easily into side control. Nice work.
You can see the frustration on Raga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Slithers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Raga, who protects the arm well.

Slithers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Slithers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloppy strikes there by Slithers.
Raga is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Raga is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Slithers off and has taken his back!
Raga is trying to stick to Slithers's back but Slithers is turning into Raga. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Raga's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Slithers.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Raga manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Raga using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Slithers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Slithers blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A short right from Raga on the inside.
A hook to the body from Raga.
Raga throws a knee to the head but misses.
Raga lands an elbow just above Slithers 's eye.


It looks like Seth Slithers has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slithers takes an elbow to the temple.
Raga lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Slithers tries to pull guard but Raga won't allow it.
Raga lands a hook to the side of the head.
Raga creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Slithers's defenses.


That has opened up Seth Slithers's cut even more.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Raga throws a sloppy head kick and Slithers moves out of range easily.
Slithers showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Raga.
Slithers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Raga circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raga will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Slithers moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Raga.
A short left from Raga.
Still in the clinch, Raga scores with a nice short uppercut.
Raga lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Raga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slithers can do to turn this around?
Slithers is breathing heavily.
Raga throws a knee to the head but misses.
Slithers takes a shot to the head.
Slithers tries to pull guard but Raga holds him up against the cage and eventually Slithers drops back down to his feet.
Raga can't find room to land a body shot as Slithers controls the action.

Raga breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Slithers counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Raga lands a glancing blow to the side of Slithers's head.

Raga throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Slithers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Raga slaps away a takedown attempt from Slithers, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Raga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slithers circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - Slithers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Slithers stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Raga.
Slithers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raga is fending him off so far but Slithers persists. Nope, Raga circles away and we're back to standing.

Slithers takes an elbow to the forehead.
Raga tries to throw a body punch but Slithers avoids it by throwing Raga back against the cage.
Raga unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Slithers! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Raga is unloading with more strikes now! Slithers drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bina Raga!
After winning the bout, Bina Raga thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Seth Slithers had this to say: 'He escaped my death grip. Next time he wont be so lucky. '.
