The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remao scores with a one two! Brendan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
A head kick misses from Brendan.
Brendan takes one to the side of the head.
Brendan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Remao.
Remao is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brendan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Remao closes the distance and clinches up with Brendan, looking for a takedown. Remao pushes Brendan against the cage but Brendan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mohamed Brendan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikhil Remao.
Brendan takes a swing at Remao's ribcage but misses.
Remao fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Brendan tries to land a front kick but Remao steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brendan darts in and clinches Remao up against the cage.
Remao tries to pull guard but Brendan won't allow it.

Brendan pulls Remao in close to prevent any damage.
Brendan on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brendan tries to get out of the position.
Remao prevents Brendan from getting back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brendan looking for a triangle here. Remao is fighting it but it looks tight! Brendan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Remao is tapping out - this one is all over!
