The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneil tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yaakov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Oneil has Yaakov up against the ropes in a clinch.
Oneil tries to work over Yaakov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Oneil is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Yaakov to keep the fight standing.

Yaakov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Oneil regains guard immediately.

Yaakov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Oneil manages to avoid the submission attempt.
