Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trage Tragedy (ranked 565 p4p, 80 weight class) and Rob Tanner (ranked 1240 p4p, 178 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trage Tragedy!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Tanner!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner avoids the body shot from Tragedy.
Tragedy lands with a cross.
Tragedy throws a lazy right hand but Tanner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tanner throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tragedy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Rob Tanner has been cut.
Tragedy ducks under a wild hook from Tanner.
The crowd cheers as Tragedy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tanner doesn't seem phased though.
Tragedy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tragedy misses with a series of wild punches.
Tragedy throws out a powerful jab.

Tragedy is keen to just control but Tanner is a slippery customer.

Tragedy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Tanner might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tragedy blocks a jab.

Tanner lands a left and a right that send Tragedy crashing to the mat, dazed. Tanner thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Tragedy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tragedy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tanner.
Tragedy seems to have got his legs back now.
Tanner misses with a hook
and Tragedy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tragedy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Tanner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tragedy stuns Tanner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tragedy gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Oooooh!!! Tanner has knocked Tragedy down with a huge combo! Tanner steps away and waves a wobbly Tragedy back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Trage Tragedy's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Tragedy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rob Tanner decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
