The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black Belt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Loveridge tries to counter with a takedown but Black Belt is quick to defend against it.
Black Belt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Loveridge pinned against the cage. Loveridge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Loveridge went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Black Belt fails with a takedown attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Loveridge misses its target.
Loveridge stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Loveridge wants it to stay on the feet.
Hamlet Loveridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maybe Black Belt.
Loveridge misses with the combination.

and Loveridge counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Maybe Black Belt has been cut.

Maybe Black Belt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black Belt drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Black Belt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
