PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Grestch (ranked 4064 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ditka Butko (ranked 3090 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Grestch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ditka Butko!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Butko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Grestch tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Butko presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Butko sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Grestch is squirming around, avoiding Butko's attempts to control the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grestch tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Butko swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Grestch is now in Butko's guard. A big mistake from Butko there, giving up the dominant position!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grestch slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butko tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Butko tries to escape but Grestch is in control.
Butko is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Grestch has hold of Butko's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Butko seems comfortable defending it but Grestch has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Butko is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Butko is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Grestch couldn't care less - he's delighted!
