Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Abbot (ranked 6262 p4p, 418 weight class) and Jan Kowalski (ranked 5410 p4p, 391 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Chuck Abbot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski tries to bum rush Abbot with a series of wild strikes but Abbot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Abbot half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kowalski fails to land with a series of punches.
Abbot avoids the body shot from Kowalski.
Kowalski jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Abbot dives in for a single leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A little jabbing left from Kowalski on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Abbot slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kowalski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Abbot moves in looking to clinch but Kowalski pushes him off.
Abbot dives in for a single leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kowalski moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kowalski does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abbot fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kowalski.

Kowalski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abbot moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Abbot seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kowalski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jan Kowalski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Abbot shoots in for a takedown but Kowalski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As Abbot backs off Kowalski throws a huge counter combo but Abbot manages to avoid it all.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kowalski! But no joy.

It looked like Abbot wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kowalski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kowalski has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

We've been informed that Kowalski has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
