Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Vi Karlson (ranked 2624 p4p, 319 weight class) and Teo Wolfie (ranked 6437 p4p, 515 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karlson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karlson lands in his opponent's guard.
Wolfie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Karlson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wolfie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wolfie has escaped and now he's on top!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wolfie is trying to work for a kimura but Karlson is defending well.

Wolfie is taking a breather. Karlson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wolfie passes to side control.
Wolfie gets to mount! Karlson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Wolfie cracks Karlson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Wolfie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Karlson looks a forlorn figure.
Wolfie lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Wolfie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Karlson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wolfie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Karlson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Karlson is trying to defend against the choke here but Wolfie has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wolfie Tightens the hold and Karlson taps out furiously! Wolfie displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
