Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Segey Taranin (ranked 2433 p4p, 233 weight class) and Crass Baracuta (ranked 7317 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baracuta throws a sloppy head kick and Taranin moves out of range easily.

enabling Taranin to counter with a crisp jab.
Taranin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Taranin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Taranin connects with the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taranin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baracuta.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taranin cracks Baracuta with a big right hand but Baracuta just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baracuta can do anything to dispel that myth.

Baracuta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taranin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Baracuta has left one of his arms exposed and Taranin doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Baracuta screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
