PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Balder Bull (ranked 1624 p4p, 201 weight class) and Jah Wobble (ranked 1001 p4p, 126 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Balder Bull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jah Wobble!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wobble.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wobble has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bull throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Jah Wobble has been cut.

and Wobble counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Bull has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wobble is on him like a limpet, forcing Bull back against the cage.
Wobble has Bull pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bull manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Wobble prevents a body shot from Bull.
Bull lands a hook that snaps the head of Wobble backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Balder Bull has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jah Wobble.

Wobble is taking a breather. Bull says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Wobble connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bull definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Bull wants to hold on but Wobble pushes him away.

Wobble can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bull is looking to escape.

Bull is trying desperately to improve position.
Bull on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bull tries to get out of the position.

Wobble has hold of Bull's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bull manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Wobble trying to control but Bull is having none of it.
Bull is trying desperately to improve position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jah Wobble will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wobble looks to land a body kick but Bull moved away.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wobble. Bull shrugs it off though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bull tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wobble swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bull lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wobble at a distance.
Bull takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Bull throws an overhand right that lands on Wobble's shoulder, as Wobble tries to avoid the shot.

Bull keeps the fight on the outside.
Bull seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Bull throws a series of punches but Wobble moves out of range.
Bull throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wobble on the side of the head.
Wobble takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wobble uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bull.
Wobble drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bull defends it well.

Wobble is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bull defends it well.
Wobble is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bull!
Jah Wobble has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wobble is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wobble takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wobble is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bull to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bull shrugs it off.

Wobble looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Bull covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jah Wobble!
After winning the bout, Jah Wobble thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
