Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nairy Huts (ranked 6869 p4p, 520 weight class) and Karol Krawczyk (ranked 7193 p4p, 527 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Krawczyk's choice of entrance music: Miodowe Lata. Nairy Huts could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Karol Krawczyk's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nairy Huts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Karol Krawczyk!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krawczyk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huts tries to avoid it but Krawczyk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huts to the ground. Huts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Huts drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Krawczyk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Some wild striking there from Krawczyk.

Krawczyk closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Huts quickly recovers to half guard.
Krawczyk thows a huge punch but Huts dodges it nicely.
Huts is looking to escape.

Krawczyk is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Huts is just riding it out for now. Krawczyk eventually gives up the hold.
Krawczyk looks winded!
Huts wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Huts trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huts is pressing down on Krawczyk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Krawczyk throws a big right hand that misses.
Huts is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Krawczyk throwing strikes from guard but Huts blocks nicely.

Krawczyk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Krawczyk drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Huts dives on top into guard.

Huts stands and throws Krawczyk's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A lull in the action here as Huts stalls from top position.
Krawczyk prevents Huts from improving position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Krawczyk seems a little lost for a moment, as Huts dominates the positioning.
Krawczyk felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huts is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Krawczyk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Huts remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Krawczyk is trying to get back to his feet.
Huts avoids the strikes from the bottom by Krawczyk.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krawczyk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Huts wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Huts is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Krawczyk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Huts is trying to get an arm triangle but Krawczyk is defending well.
Krawczyk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Huts asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Huts has hold of Krawczyk's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Krawczyk seems comfortable defending it but Huts has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Krawczyk is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Krawczyk is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Huts couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nairy Huts!
Karol Krawczyk spoke after the fight, saying 'Czego stoisz na torach?! Czego stoisz na torach?!'.
