The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clinton tries to clinch up but Ross circles away and keeps his distance.
Clinton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Clinton throws a half hearted mid kick.
Clinton throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ross's head.

It looks like Alix Ross has been cut.

Ross bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Clinton can't do much from the bottom here.
Ross is looking to take a break and control but Clinton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ross is trying to get an arm triangle but Clinton is defending well.
Clinton stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Clinton is trying to get back to half guard.
Clinton wants to control but Ross postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Clinton is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Ross sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Clinton is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Clinton is looking to clinch but Ross is avoiding it.
Ross shoots in but Clinton avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Clinton throws a wild body kick that Ross sees coming a mile off.
Hillary Clinton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ross crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Clinton - the referee stops the clock and Ross gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Clinton. Ross manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ross looks gassed!
Clinton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ross swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Clinton connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Ross to the floor! Clinton dives in looking for the finish!

Ross is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Clinton frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Clinton unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Ross wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Clinton celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
