Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quanah Parker (ranked 4640 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stig Statham (ranked 4635 p4p, 0 weight class). Statham has chosen The Chain, Fleetwood Mac as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker shoots in for a double leg but Statham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Statham misses with a wild combination.
Parker feinted with a counter takedown.
Statham lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Quanah Parker has been cut.
Parker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Statham avoids it really well and circles away.
Statham doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Statham darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Parker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Statham is working away from the top position though.
Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Statham 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Statham 's back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Statham 's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Parker has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Statham is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Parker gets his way!

Parker seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Statham 's chin but Statham turns very nicely into Parker's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Statham .

Statham has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Parker to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Statham is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Parker pulls down on the head and he's put Statham to sleep! This one is all over!

A less than humble Quanah Parker misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
