Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fahry Hamzah (ranked 3150 p4p, 175 weight class) and Peter McGowan (ranked 7021 p4p, 266 weight class). Fahry Hamzah had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Peter McGowan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGowan closes the distance and clinches.
Hamzah drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McGowan is trying to push Hamzah away but Hamzah has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A shot in the inside from McGowan.
McGowan lands with a short head shot on the inside.
McGowan pushes Hamzah back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
McGowan wants to break free but Hamzah has control.
Hamzah wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McGowan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hamzah fails to pull guard.

McGowan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hamzah closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGowan circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fahry Hamzah. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGowan tries to close the distance and clinch but Hamzah swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McGowan drops Hamzah with a big left hand! Hamzah is injured, injured bad! McGowan jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
