PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hax Molloway (ranked 2281 p4p, 274 weight class) and Konichiwa Jempsa (ranked 2324 p4p, 281 weight class). Konichiwa Jempsa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hax Molloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Konichiwa Jempsa!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molloway darts in looking for a takedown but Jempsa gets double underhooks and turns Molloway into the cage.
Molloway throws the kick towards the body but Jempsa avoids it.
Jempsa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Molloway counters with a nice kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Molloway. Jempsa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jempsa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Molloway seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Jempsa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Molloway's guard.

Molloway is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jempsa has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jempsa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jempsa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Molloway has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jempsa has managed to get both his arms back between Molloway's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jempsa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
