PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marko Weiner (ranked 24638 p4p, 548 weight class) and Kelly Rush (ranked 24460 p4p, 536 weight class). Rush has chosen Diary of Jane as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kelly Rush!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush lands a jab-cross combination.
We've been hearing reports that Weiner has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rush shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weiner but Weiner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rush tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Weiner paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
