The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hale swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bobby throws a head kick that misses.
Bobby looks to throw a body kick

and Hale decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bobby's guard.
Hale is standing up over Bobby. Bobby looks to escape but Hale dives into side control.

Hale controls the position from side control.
Bobby manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hale's best efforts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hale tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Bobby.
Bobby wants to improve his position but Hale is controlling well.
Hale blocks the strikes from Bobby.
Bobby really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hale. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hale is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hale wants to stand up but Bobby is controlling the position.
Hale content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Ground and pound from Hale.

Bobby is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hale pulls his head out easily.
Hale lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bobby is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hale seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bobby is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
