Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Brooksbank (ranked 2472 p4p, 52 weight class) and Power Shark (ranked 2105 p4p, 43 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Brooksbank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Power Shark!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooksbank scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Shark misses with a head kick.
Shark lands with a slapping head kick.

Brooksbank feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Brooksbank stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shark looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Brooksbank trying to control but Shark is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooksbank advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shark pushes Brooksbank off looking to stand but Brooksbank dives back in and keeps control.
Shark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooksbank. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Shark wants to get back to his feet.
Shark is trying to escape back to his feet but Brooksbank uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shark is trying to buck Brooksbank off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooksbank wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shark keeps working.
Shark is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Brooksbank is controlling him well.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brooksbank changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shark tries to avoid it but Brooksbank manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shark to the ground. Shark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
An inside leg kick from Brooksbank misses.
Shark swings for the body but Brooksbank moves out of range.

Shark connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Brooksbank to the floor! Shark dives in looking for the finish!


Brooksbank is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Shark stands up from half guard.
Oh Brooksbank is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Shark knocks Brooksbank out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Power Shark!
During a confident post fight interview, Power Shark thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
