Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Jantan (ranked 1369 p4p, 179 weight class) and Billel Kassib (ranked 4681 p4p, 444 weight class). Billel Kassib will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Kassib, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kassib stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kassib wants it to stay on the feet.
Jantan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kassib manages to avoid it.
Kassib unleashes a big counter combination but Jantan bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jantan lands with a nice body punch.
Kassib swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jantan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jantan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kassib is trying to stand back up but Jantan is controlling him

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jantan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kassib is rocked!
Jantan lands a big shot there that rocks Kassib but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kassib is still in real trouble! Can Jantan finish him?
Jantan postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kassib badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Jantan around the waist but Jantan pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Jantan is the winner by TKO! Jantan jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joseph Jantan!
Joseph Jantan got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
