Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pure Striker (ranked 5213 p4p, 243 weight class) and Orjan Ank (ranked 6345 p4p, 258 weight class). The key to victory for Pure Striker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ank's hands.
Striker throws a good cross that connects.

Striker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Striker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ank drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ank jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Striker is staying active underneath Ank, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Striker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ank has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Ank looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Striker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ank might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Striker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pure Striker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orjan Ank.

Ank manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Striker on his heels. He'll look to pass Striker's guard now, I'm sure.

Ank has an Americana. Striker didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ank is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ank hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
