Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Master (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Master has chosen Bad Boys as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Max Powers could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luke Master's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Master tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Powers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Master dodges the punch combination from Powers.
Master fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Powers.

Powers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Master is looking to improve his position but Powers isn't that keen on the idea.
Master is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Powers lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Master tries to hold on but Powers pushes him away.

Powers wants to finish this one by submission but Master is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Powers.

Powers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Master has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Powers is landing with some decent strikes but Master is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Powers is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Master can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Master fails with an attempt to clinch.

Master gets caught flat footed, as Powers shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Master looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Powers is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Master has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Powers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Master.

Powers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Master, who protects the arm well.
Powers wants to control but Master is keeping him busy.

Powers stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Master tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Powers was well out of range. Poor timing from Master.
Master throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Powers swats away the attempt to clinch by Master.
Powers throws a low kick, looking for Master's leg but Master calmly moves out of range.

Powers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Powers showed some decent athleticism there.
Powers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Powers throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Powers gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Max Powers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Master pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Powers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Powers closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Master tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Master wants to clinch up but Powers keeps it at a distance.
Master stuffs the takedown attempt from Powers. Powers gets slowly back to his feet.
Powers swats away the attempt to clinch by Master.
Master throws a leg kick but Powers checks it.
Powers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Master tries to clinch there but Powers circles away.
Master tries to close the distance and clinch up but Powers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Master gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Powers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Master takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Powers looks to land a strike but Master avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Master escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Powers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Powers works over Master with some ground and pound from guard.

Master looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Master is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Powers is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Master can do to turn this around?

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Powers connects with a nice short shot to Master's temple.
Master is in trouble now - Powers has advanced to mount!

You can see the frustration on Master's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Powers has hold of Master's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Master tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Powers cranks the arm and Master screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Master, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
