Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Macanuff (ranked 2911 p4p, 369 weight class) and Farouk Mubarak (ranked 2518 p4p, 326 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Macanuff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Farouk Mubarak!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macanuff stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Macanuff wants it to stay on the feet.
Macanuff misses with a double jab.
Macanuff throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mubarak.
Macanuff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mubarak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Macanuff pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mubarak back to the cage. Macanuff follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Farouk Mubarak has been cut.
Macanuff throws a big shot that misses.
Mubarak takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Macanuff catches Mubarak with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mubarak uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Macanuff.
Mubarak shoots in but Macanuff avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No joy there for Macanuff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mubarak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Macanuff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mubarak.
Jason Macanuff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Farouk Mubarak.
Mubarak misses with a takedown attempt - Macanuff sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mubarak fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Macanuff throws a big counter combination but Mubarak scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Macanuff moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Mubarak is rocked!

OH! Mubarak has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Macanuff smells blood and charges in for the finish! Macanuff unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Mubarak sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
