Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peyton gets the takedown into side control.
Martinez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Peyton creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Martinez seems a little lost for a moment, as Peyton dominates the positioning.
Peyton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Martinez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Peyton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Martinez to his feet.

Peyton tightens his grip and picks Martinez up, before dumping him to the ground. Martinez manages to land in guard.
Peyton is standing up over Martinez. Martinez looks to escape but Peyton dives into side control.
Martinez seems to have got his legs back now.

Peyton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Peyton tries to advance to mount but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Peyton moves into range and clinches up with Martinez.
Martinez looking for a takedown.

Peyton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Martinez backs up against the cage.
Peyton gets the takedown into side control.
Peyton tries to advance to mount but can't.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Peyton lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Peyton stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Peyton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Martinez's half guard.
Martinez pushes Peyton off but Peyton dives into side control.

Peyton has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Peyton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Martinez to the mat! Martinez manages to get full guard.
Peyton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Peyton stands and steps away. Martinez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Peyton bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Peyton rushes Martinez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Peyton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Peyton moves into range and clinches up with Martinez.
Peyton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Martinez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Martinez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peyton advances to half guard.
Peyton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Peyton is taking a breather. Martinez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Royce Peyton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Royce Peyton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Peyton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
