Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patty O Reilly (ranked 1076 p4p, 157 weight class) and Sleight Of Hand (ranked 2898 p4p, 363 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Reilly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Of Hand napping and manages to drive through into side control!
O Reilly works to advance to full mount. Of Hand defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, O Reilly cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Of Hand is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake O Reilly off. It looks like it's working - O Reilly slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Of Hand displaying calm under pressure there.
Of Hand missing with a left hand there. O Reilly was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

O Reilly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - O Reilly lands in his opponent's guard.

Of Hand pushes O Reilly off and scrambles back to his feet.
O Reilly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Of Hand's waist but Of Hand gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Reilly off to one side.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Of Hand loads up on a big right hand but O Reilly slips the punch.
Sleight Of Hand is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as O Reilly accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

O Reilly gets to his feet and stands over Of Hand, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Of Hand felt that one! O Reilly unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Of Hand from any more punishment!

Patty O Reilly was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
