Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rickson Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Vespuci!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Time dives in and grabs Vespuci's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vespuci pushes down on Time's head and hops out.
Vespuci stuffs the takedown attempt from Time. Time gets slowly back to his feet.
Time doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Vespuci counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickson Time. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vespuci is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Time doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vespuci.

Vespuci is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Time sees it coming and defends easily.

Vespuci is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vespuci wants to pass to mount but Time is defending the position.

Time actively working from the bottom here.

Vespuci really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Time. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vespuci prevents Time from improving his position.
Time is trying to control but can't.

Vespuci is looking for a kimura but Time is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vespuci to get the leverage.
Time's coaches at Rio Fight Academy have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Vespuci seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Time does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Time is looking to control Vespuci's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Time avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Time manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Time is looking to cinch up a triangle. Vespuci throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Time's body to avoid the submission. Time has instead reached around Vespuci's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Time arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Rickson Time!
Rickson Time took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'thats 2 back to back baby! 2-0! glad I made good on my CFC debut and I cant wait to keep growing inside the CFC cage!'.
