PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Pierno (ranked 3956 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kebab Nurminen (ranked 22658 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pierno might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sick Puppies - You're Going Down . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurminen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Pierno jabs Nurminen right on the nose. Nurminen blinks but takes it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pierno trying to control the position but instead, Nurminen has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pierno into the cage.
Maybe Pierno would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.
Nurminen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Pierno is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Pierno seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Nurminen is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A punch lands to the side of Nurminen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nurminen loads up on a big right hand but Pierno slips the punch.
Pierno steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nurminen.

Nurminen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nurminen unleashes a big counter combination but Pierno bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Nurminen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

I would just about give that final round to Kebab Nurminen.
I've got Nurminen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
