Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Olusola Oni (ranked 5265 p4p, 176 weight class) and Jos LePuc (ranked 6588 p4p, 191 weight class). LePuc has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oni fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LePuc avoids it really well and circles away.
LePuc looks winded!
Oni forces LePuc back against the cage and clinches.
LePuc misses with a body punch.
LePuc prevents a takedown attempt there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oni tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. LePuc smiles and moves away.

Oni has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LePuc can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oni has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. LePuc is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Oni is trying to push LePuc away but LePuc has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Oni jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as LePuc walks away with a smile on his face. Oni gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oni throws a nice looking combination but LePuc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A little jabbing left from LePuc on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
LePuc defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Oni.
LePuc let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
LePuc leaves Oni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

LePuc misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oni clinches.
Oni jumps guard but LePuc stands there with Oni around his waist. Oni gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Oni goes for a takedown attempt but LePuc pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've been informed that LePuc has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Oni throws a head kick but LePuc moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on LePuc's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Oni shoots in looking for a takedown but LePuc manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oni's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Oni fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging LePuc to the ground. Oni is now in LePuc's guard.
Oni seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Oni shoots in for a takedown but LePuc shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oni working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LePuc doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LePuc manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Oni is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oni, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
