Thing has chosen Thing as his entrance music. Thing Thing has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Darrel Hill's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Darrel Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thing Thing!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill misses with a looping left.
Thing Thing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short left from Hill.
Hill goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hill softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Thing has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Thing shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Hill is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thing pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thing lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hill throws his legs up looking for a submission but Thing uses it to pass to side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thing shoots in for a takedown but Hill shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Hill counters with a three punch combo that has Thing backing up. Thing nods at Hill to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thing tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hill manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thing tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hill defends well and Thing ends up having to push Hill into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thing closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hill to the mat! Hill manages to get full guard.

Hill is looking to cinch up a triangle. Thing throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hill's body to avoid the submission. Hill has instead reached around Thing's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hill arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

After the fight, Darrel Hill was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
