Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Jun (ranked 1440 p4p, 80 weight class) and Little Kitty Sripituksakul (ranked 1590 p4p, 90 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zhang Jun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Little Kitty Sripituksakul!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sripituksakul getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Jun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jun uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sripituksakul.
Jun closes the distance and clinches up with Sripituksakul, looking for a takedown. Jun pushes Sripituksakul against the cage but Sripituksakul circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sripituksakul throws a looping overhand right but Jun ducks down to avoid it.
Jun slips a jab and a cross from Sripituksakul.

Jun moves into the clinch.
Sripituksakul tries to work over Jun's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
A head punch on the inside from Sripituksakul fails to land.
Sripituksakul misses with a body punch.
Sripituksakul swings wildly with an uppercut but Jun uses good head movement to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jun looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sripituksakul is fending him off so far but Jun persists. Nope, Sripituksakul circles away and we're back to standing.
Jun on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Sripituksakul takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jun takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jun shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sripituksakul sprawls well. Sripituksakul wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jun gets slowly back to his feet.

Jun might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sripituksakul can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jun drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sripituksakul looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sripituksakul looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sripituksakul!

Sripituksakul wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jun keeps working.

Jun manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Sripituksakul takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Jun is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jun avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sripituksakul.

Jun shoots in and bounces Sripituksakul off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jun got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sripituksakul has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jun has managed to get both his arms back between Sripituksakul's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jun stands up over Sripituksakul, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Sripituksakul looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jun fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sripituksakul avoids it really well and circles away.

It looked like Jun wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sripituksakul is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Jun throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jun has his foot on Sripituksakul's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sripituksakul works his way back into a safe position though.

Jun has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jun has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sripituksakul doesn't defend quickly enough and Jun has managed to lock this one up! Can Sripituksakul escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jun on a fantastic submission victory.
