Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ramsey Tupper (ranked 4643 p4p, 486 weight class) and Markus Raffo (ranked 1265 p4p, 178 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ramsey Tupper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Markus Raffo!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tupper's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tupper duly obliges.
Tupper lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Tupper lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Raffo is rocked!
Tupper jabs at Raffo's body.
Raffo is still on wobbly legs! Can Tupper finish him?
Raffo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tupper counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Tupper appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tupper definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Tupper tried to counter with a leg kick but Raffo avoided it.

Raffo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tupper.

Tupper throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Raffo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tupper was well out of range. Poor timing from Raffo.
A left and a right from Tupper both land. Nice combination.

Tupper ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Raffo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tupper.
Markus Raffo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raffo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tupper to the mat! Tupper manages to get full guard.
Raffo's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Raffo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tupper's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looks like Raffo might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Tupper connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Raffo momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tupper throws a right and a left that Raffo avoids nicely.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Raffo misses with a hook.
Tupper misses with a wild combination.

Tupper throws a right and a left that both miss.

Tupper shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Raffo eats them both and turns towards Tupper to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Raffo throws a hook but Tupper avoids it easily.
Raffo throws a body shot but no joy.
Raffo tries to land a leg kick but Tupper saw it coming and moves away.
Raffo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tupper throws a series of strikes that have Raffo backpedaling.

and Tupper counters with a three punch combo that has Raffo backing up. Raffo nods at Tupper to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raffo misses with a leg kick
and Raffo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Raffo on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Raffo dodges the punch combination from Tupper.
Raffo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Raffo there as he acknowledges the shot.

Raffo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tupper's half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Raffo working his ground and pound in the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Raffo in particular looking to stall.
Tupper is looking to control Raffo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tupper avoid being mounted?
Raffo lands with a punch from half guard.
Raffo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Raffo thows a huge punch but Tupper dodges it nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raffo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Raffo throws a jab but it's blocked by Tupper.

Ramsey Tupper is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Tupper wants to hold on but Raffo pushes him away.

Raffo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ramsey Tupper.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tupper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
