Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lauris Darzins (ranked 1472 p4p, 177 weight class) and Purple Aki (ranked 1482 p4p, 178 weight class). Lauris Darzins could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Purple Aki's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Darzins pushes Aki off looking to stand but Aki dives back in and keeps control.
Aki scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Aki is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Aki seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Darzins won't allow Aki to pass to mount.
Darzins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Aki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Darzins's guard.

Aki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Darzins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aki has managed to get both his arms back between Darzins's legs - danger averted.
