Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cole Alishin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Martin Collin!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alishin throws a right hand that Collin ducks under and follows up with a left that Collin also avoids with ease.
Collin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A head kick misses from Alishin.
Alishin lands a leg kick that knocks Collin off balance momentarily.
Alishin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Collin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Alishin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Alishin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Martin Collin has been cut.
Alishin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Collin throws a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Collin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Alishin!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Collin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Alishin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Alishin misses with a few strikes there.
Alishin throws a series of punches but Collin moves out of range.
Collin tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Alishin looks for the body kick but Collin saw that one coming.
Alishin misses with a few strikes there.
Collin wants to counter with a clinch but Alishin pushes him away.

and Collin counters with a shoot takedown. Alishin fights it but they end up in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alishin is on top in guard.

Collin wants to sweep but no luck.
Collin trying to keep a closed guard but Alishin is proving a slippery customer.

Alishin wants to get up but he can't break Collin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Alishin wants to stand but Collin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Our spies down at at Special Ops N7 Training inform us that Collin has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Alishin trying to control the position from guard on top but Collin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Alishin tries to stand but Collin is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Alishin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Alishin.
Alishin connects with a high kick.


Collin is rocked!
Alishin goes for a small jab and connects. Now Alishin goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Collin stumbles back but Alishin runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Collin to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Collin will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Cole Alishin!
Cole Alishin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
