The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenland has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sionis finds it's way round the side to connect with Greenland's head.
Sionis dives in for a single leg takedown but Greenland sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

I was talking to Greenland's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Greenland's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sionis under the eye.

It looks like Roman Sionis has been cut.
Sionis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Greenland is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sionis.

and Greenland counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Sionis badly! Greenland follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Sionis out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Greenland finished him against the cage.
