Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tantalau!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantalau closes the distance but Thompson moves to the side
and Thompson counters with a stiff right hand.
Tantalau jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tantalau wants to clinch
and Thompson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tantalau gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thompson.
Tantalau throws a poor cross that misses
and Thompson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thompson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Thompson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Thompson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tantalau misses with an uppercut
and Thompson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tantalau lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tantalau throws a hook to the side of Thompson's head but Thompson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It looked like Thompson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Tantalau takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson lands with a kick to the temple. Tantalau shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tantalau rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Thompson counter with a right hand.
Tantalau is still on wobbly legs! Can Thompson finish him?
Thompson cracks Tantalau with a hook to the temple - Tantalau is on wobbly legs here! Thompson swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Tantalau falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Thompson wins by TKO!
