The crowd seem to be enjoying Boyd's choice of entrance music: Evil villain. John Boyd is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport tries to clinch but Boyd moves out of range.
Oooooh!!! Boyd has knocked Davenport down with a huge combo! Boyd steps away and waves a wobbly Davenport back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Asa Davenport has been cut.
Boyd circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boyd counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Davenport badly! Boyd follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Davenport out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Boyd finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Boyd!
In his post fight interview, John Boyd started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
